With learning to swim, community education, & better lifeguard training,
all accidental drowning deaths can be prevented.

Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death for children ages 5 to 14, and lessons are part of the cure. Swim Lessons also help participants understand the benefits of being involved in aquatic activities and how it should be a lifetime activity.

To prevent drowning deaths and aquatic related injuries from occurring, a range of community-based actions are required including education, behavior change, legislation, engineering and technology solutions, in addition to learning to swim. These solutions form the basis of our Water Safety Initiatives. We offer education of parents and care givers about how they can keep their children safe, community events to raise awareness of water safety, and thru our partnerships reduced fee or free swim lessons for economically or social disadvantaged youth.

Most parents of children who cannot swim, cannot swim themselves. The fear of water and not being able to swim is passed down generation to generation. Help change the statistics and learn how to swim, get your whole family involved, get your friends involved, and make a change to help save a life, save your life.
