I grew up swimming on AAC for the Foothills summer league in Golden, Colorado. As a teenager, I swam for a year round team in Wheat Ridge. In High School, I was captain for the Ralston Valley Swim Team and led them to their first League Champioship win in 2012. After I graduated, I attended Mesa University for a quick stint and then moved back to Golden to attend Red Rocks Community College while I began coaching the same USA team I previously was apart of. After working for the USA team, I started coaching for the Genesee Mountain Thunder Summer Club team as well as the Wheat Ridge Boy’s team. I have been actively involved in both the USA and summer leagues for six years. Last year I married a wonderful woman named Ally and we recently moved to Lakewood with our cat, Bughera. I enjoy hanging out with my wife, playing airsoft and spending time with friends and family.

I started swimming at about age 6. I swam competitively through high
school and college. In graduate school I joined Boulder Aquatic Masters
(BAM) and continue to swim with them now.  I learn a lot of tips, tricks,
and new techniques from all the great coaches in BAM.

At age 12 I began helping with swim lessons and obtained my Water Safety
Instructor certification through the Red Cross when I was old enough. I
have taught swim lessons since that time- everything from the infant class
to a 70 year old lady (who didn’t know how to swim at first but was able
to complete her first triathlon after our lessons.)   I have helped coach
teams in New York, Maryland and also here in Denver (Westbrook Stingrays).
I’m thrilled to be working with Greg at 5280 and am excited to help all
the swimmers reach their highest potential, through great technique and
hard work.

When I’m not at a pool swimming or coaching, I’m either working my regular
job, taking care of my own kids, cross country skiing, or hanging out with
my husband and our furry beasts.
