The Collection:
The collection of the library of SCU is outstanding in size for the population of the school.  With nearly 30,000 items (in book, DVD, and peridical formats) the student has access to s cope of resources usually found in much larger institutions. 
Additionally, through partnerships with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Oklahoma Council of Academic Library Directors, the school enjoys subscriptions to several major databases.  Via "EBSCOHost", the student has access to thousands of full-text or abstracted articles to support their academic work.  Via "WORLD CAT/ FIRST SEARCH" the student can locate titles in libraries across the state or the country.
Special Features:
The SCU Library Commons has -
- The Joy Watson Computer Lab with 8 computers  (4 offering Internet access and 4 word processing./Internet)
- The Pentecostal Research Collection of books sharing the history, theology, and experiences of people in several major Pentecostal and Charismatic groups, including the parent denomination of the school, The International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC).
- The Noel Brooks Collection contains books from the personal library of a noted British Pentecostal scholar who once taught on the campus.  These are housed with the SCU Archives.
- The SCU LIBRARY HALL OF HISTORY features items from the archives chronicling the people and events of the school's more than 60 years of history.

Mrs. Hudson holds degrees in History and Library & Information from the University of Oklahoma.  She has also done additional work in religious studies, storytelling, and leadership.
