Yuma County Science Fair

The annual Yuma County Science Expo is the biggest local educational program event of the year. Its purpose is not only to promote career interest in engineering and the sciences, but also to encourage and support sound instructional practices.

Southwestern Christian School participates in the exposition and regularly has students that are recognized for their academic achievement. Here are the students who earned recognition at the 2016 expo :

Earth and Environmental Science > Second place - Danielle Monroe

> First place - Ali Schmunk

Health, Medicine, and Microbiology > First place - Michele Andre, Second place - Emmanuel Moreno

Renaissance National Honor Roll

In 2016 every class at Southwestern Christian School earned Renaissance Learning's highest honor as a National Honor Roll School. In addition, every year since 2013 Southwestern Christian's eighth grade class has been recognized as the first individual class in the State of Arizona to earn the distinctive National Honor Roll recognition.
