As the Sandy Valley Summer Free Lunch program wraps up tomorrow, there are some people we would like to thank for their help in making the program successful!

Thank you to Chris Dieringer, Bob & Sue Leach, Rhonda Williams, Lynne Herstine, Trish Hanlon, Carol Toms, Denzel & Diane Davis, Jim & Sue Finnicum, Wendy Loomis, Paulette Eckinger, Sally Little, Clarinda Hinderer, Gary & Patty Yoho, Jim & David Hunter, Carolyn Garrot, Chey Schubert, Linda & Pete Salom, Marge Boals, Marie Marcoaldi, Melody Hawk and the Sandy Valley Elementary PTO. Sandy Valley would also like to thank the St. James Church for the use of their pavilion, Sandy Valley Estates for the use of their clubhouse and the Stark Library Sandy Valley Branch and staff for serving lunches daily to the children in our community. We would also like to thank the Magnolia United Methodist Church for the backpack program.

Thank you to Superintendent David Fischer and the Sandy Valley Local School Board for all the support and Doug Neading for the help with the grant. A huge thanks to the Sandy Valley Kitchen Staff and the Sandy Valley Custodial Staff including Greg Glaser and Bruce Vickery for their work all summer long helping provide meals to our community’s children.

The biggest, Cardinal thank you goes to Tina Kindelberger and Emilee Humphrey for their vision and tireless work to bring the summer lunch program to life! Tina and Emilee applied for the grant to bring the free lunch program to the Sandy Valley area. They organized the three lunch sites, created a distribution routine, finalized calendars for the daily lunches and oversaw the program from start to finish. Thank you, Tina and Emilee, for your dedication on a job well done!
