About Mr. Epp

Jeremy Epp

Social Sciences

I am originally from Arthur, Nebraska. I graduated from high school with a class total of thirteen. Arthur County is a small school that plays six-man football. In 1994, Arthur won the Class D3 State Championship in football. It was a great experience growing up in a small town with great teachers and a strong community. My family has now moved from Arthur, Nebraska back to Kansas, living south of Wichita. I have three sisters Megan who works in the banking system (graduated from Wichita State), Annalea builds champions in AdvoCare (graduated from KU) and Jane works in Ark City School system (graduated from Emporia State). My dad is entering 39 years of preaching and my mom works in the school system in Kansas.

I attended college at Chadron State College which is located in the Northwest corner of Nebraska. I had the opportunity to experience college basketball under Coach Dan Beebe. Dan set a good example of his faith in God, his organization and drive to put Chadron at the competition level needed to compete in the RMAC. I graduated from Chadron State in May of 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Education with Endorsements in Social Sciences and Coaching. My coaching experience started with a connection from CSC to Chadron High. Jim English allowed me to do my internship with the Boys’ Basketball team. I was then hired to be the assistant the next year in 2000-01.

In 2000 I did my student teaching at Gordon High School and the Hot Springs Middle School in Hot Springs, South Dakota. I was also allowed to help in football under Kevin Stein in Gordon. My first teaching job started in 2001 in Maxwell High School in Maxwell, Nebraska. It is located Fifteen miles east of North Platte. At Maxwell I taught Government, American History, Modern Problems, Weights and 7th grade Life Science. I was the assistant football coach and the girls’ assistant basketball coach. I love being employed by Southern Valley and am enjoying the students, faculty and community. I have coached football, basketball and golf here at SV. I finished my Master’s degree from UNK in Education Administration and someday starting my Specialist Degree.

My wife is named Tamara Epp and she been a Fitness Director at the Cozad Community Wellness Center, has owned and managed three Curves for Women, helped create the process for Osteo Strong, created Eppic Results to help people in their fitness journey, and is now Building Champions in Advocare. She is certified in personal training, mat science I and II, zumba, personal training, and group fitness. We were married in North Platte, Nebraska on June 15, 2002. She is excited about her new venture in fitness and helping men, women, and athletes obtain their goals in exercise and fitness. We have three children, Titus Epp, Vayden Epp, Zyah Epp and Drayven Epp our newest addition. They are a huge blessing and teach us new lessons everyday. We attend the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege. We as a family love the adventure of helping others obtain their dreams and vision!

At Southern Valley I will be teaching American Government, American History, World History and Geography. This site will help explain a little about each of these courses. I am also excited to use new technology and new assignments in the classroom. Please call the school at (308) 868-2222 and I will return the call as soon as possible. If it is an emergency you may call my cell after school at (308) 520-0259. Thank you and enjoy the school year.
