Mr. Reed graduated from Hastings High School and the University of Nebraska Kearney.  He has a Bachelors in Social Science Education and a Masters in Instructional Technology.  In the last 15 years at SV, he has taught Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Modern Problems, 7th and 8th grade Social Studies and Digital Media/Web Design.  Mr. Reed is the Technology Integration Specialist and is also responsible for the SV website, the SV Facebook and Twitter accounts, Striv (live streaming games), the snack vending machine, and myElearning (ANGEL LMS).

He has presented at the National Network for Educational Renewal Conference in Denver (2012) and won a trip from the Nebraska Educational Technology Association (NETA) to attend the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE) Conference in Atlanta in 2014.  He most recently presented at the Fall NETA Conference in Kearney in October 2015. He was a member of the state Fine Arts Standards writing team in 2013, with a focus on digital media. 

He was also the junior high boys and girls basketball coach for several years as well as the head football coach at SV for four years.  He founded the SV Eagles Bass Club and is currently the bass fishing club sponsor.  He is also an online moderator for the Nebraska Fish and Game Association, is a certified Youth Fishing Instructor, and enjoys kayaking.

Mr. Reed is married and has two daughters.  His wife, Jill, is an assistant professor at UNMC College of Nursing in Kearney.
