Dr. Jeanne Subjack is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. She received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice in 2015 from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Her dissertation examined sentencing outcomes in statutory rape cases in Harris County, Texas, for which she received the 2015 Outstanding Dissertation Award.
Dr. Subjack's favorite aspect of teaching at the college level is the interaction she has with her students; teaching was the main motivation behind completing her doctorate. She teaches a variety of courses, including research methods, corrections, and victimology.
Her research interests include special populations, sentencing outcomes, and perception/fear of crime.
Originally from New York (state, not city), she received her B.A. in Crime, Law, and Justice from the Pennsylvania State University (with distinction), and her M.A. in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
