South Shore Forum – Transportation Reform in Massachusetts
Last month Governor Patrick filed legislation to re-shape Massachusetts’ transportation system. His proposal, consistent with the recommendations of MAPC, includes meaningful reform and critical revenue necessary to maintain and expand our roads, bridges, and railways. Join us on March 19 for a South Shore Forum on Transportation Reform to hear from Transportation Undersecretary Jeffrey Mullan (invited) and learn how you can support this important legislation! In the next few days I’ll distribute an email you can share with friends and colleagues.
Also in this update, information on upcoming trainings and workshops offered by the American Planning Association and the Citizen Planner Training Collaborative; information about state resources for downtown development, the Coastal Zone Management Storm Smart Coasts program, and a program on “Welcoming Communities” sponsored by the Commonwealth Housing Task Force.
