Motorola Droid

Exchange Sync (sync contacts, calendars and mail)

  1. From the Applications Menu, Touch Email.
  2. Type in your email address and password. Check the box only if you want this to be your default email account. Touch Next.
  3. Touch Exchange Account.
  4. Enter in your full email address and password:
    Username: user@example.com (use your email address)
    Password: Your Password / NOTE: Random initial passwords are configured and sent to the administrator at setup.

  5. Incoming Server settings:
    Username: user@example.com (use your email address)
    Password: Your Password / NOTE: Random initial passwords are configured and sent to the administrator at setup.
    Incoming Server: flexbox.mxtoolbox.com
    Domain/Username: Enter your full email address preceded by a backslash.
    (For example, \username@domain.com. Please note that some phones do not require the backslash.)

    Security Type: SSL (always)
    IMAP Path Prefix: leave blank / Optional

    Note: Do not select "Accept all SSL certificates"

  6. Your phone will check the incoming server settings.
  7. If everything is correct the Account Options screen will appear allowing you to customize your account settings.
  8. Finally, you will be asked to name this account and enter the name that will be displayed on outgoing messages. Touch Done when complete.

IMAP (syncs Mail and all personal folders)

In a few simple steps, you should be able to setup IMAP service on your Motorola Droid phone.
  1. Go to the Mail icon. If this is the first time you've setup any mail service on the Motorola Droid, you will be prompted to enter in a username and password.
  2. Enter in your full email address and password:
    Username: user@example.com (use your email address)
    Password: Your Password / NOTE: Random initial passwords are configured and sent to the administrator at setup.

  3. Click on the Manual Setup at the bottom left corner
  4. Incoming Server settings:
    Username: user@example.com (use your email address)
    Password: Your Password / NOTE: Random initial passwords are configured and sent to the administrator at setup.
    Incoming Server: flexbox.mxtoolbox.com
    Security Type: SSL (always) (accept all certificates)
    IMAP Path Prefix: leave blank / Optional

  5. Press next to continue with SMTP Server. Once on that screen, enter in these settings:
    Outgoing SMTP: smtp.mxtoolbox.com
    Security Type: SSL (always) (accept all certificates)
    Check "required Sign-In"

POP (Downloads copy of Mail)

In a few simple steps, you should be able to setup Flexbox POP email service on your new Motorola Droid phone.

  1. Go to the Mail icon. If this is the first time you've setup any mail service on the Motorola Droid, you will be prompt to enter in a username and password.

  5. Press next to continue with SMTP Server. Once on that screen, enter in these settings:
    Outgoing SMTP: smtp.mxtoolbox.com
    Security Type: SSL (always) (accept all certificates)
    Check "required Sign-In"
    Username: user@example.com (use your email address)
    Password: Your Password / NOTE: Random initial passwords are configured and sent to the administrator at setup.

  6. Select how often your Droid will check for Email, and choose default options.
  7. Now click through next and fill out the name, etc and once that is completed the setup is done!
