Music Distance Learning 2020-2021

Welcome to the Sunol Glen School Music pages.

Although I'm disappointed that our meetings will be virtual, I am also excited by the opportunities that virtual learning is offering, especially in music. At Sunol Glen School, we will be celebrating music and embracing music technology in the 21st century!

For the start of the academic school year, all news, updates, work and assignments will be posted on this website. All students will sign up to the Clever/Seesaw portals to simplify login procedures.

I attended a course on music technology in music education during summer, and I hope that the students will enjoy the new music programs and creative opportunities that we'll explore together.

2019-2020

Advanced Band Grading during Covid

I will be assigning only 1 grade for music for the term.

The first reason is that I strongly feel, as a parent, educator and music teacher, that we cannot and should not expect students to operate as normal under these abnormal circumstances.

The second reason is that my Advanced Band this year has been fantastic, and by January was already performing way above grade level and curriculum expectations.

I do, however, give extra credit for students who are going above and beyond.
