SMHS Undertakes Decennial NEAS&C Accreditation Process

posted Nov 7, 2018, 2:29 PM by Jonathan Reed

Sunapee Middle High School has begun the process of the decennial self study as outlined by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges.  As a part of this parents, students, and faculty will have the opportunity to provide input through online surveys and focus groups. Parents should monitor their email for additional information and links to surveys they can participate in.  Resources that are referenced in these surveys and meetings can be found here on the website. Look for the Vision of the Graduate and the Core Values & Beliefs under the About Us section. You can find the Learning Expectations under the Academics section.

We encourage you to learn more about this rigorous process we undertake every ten years to improve Sunapee Middle High School on the NEAS&C website.

SMHS will be hosting a Skills for Success Fair on February 23rd.  The purpose of this year’s event is to highlight the many skills that can contribute to success in the classroom and work environment. We will be talking and learning about soft/transferable skills. The event will start with a keynote speaker and then workshops will follow. Each workshop offered will  explore the importance of a particular soft skill. Each student will attend three mini workshops based upon his or her interest. Thank you, in advance, to all the business leaders and community members who will be speaking with our students during the Fair. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Watkins in the guidance office with any questions. The Fair will run from 9:45 am-12:30 pm.
