  • Wrestlers Compete at Don Runner Invite This past weekend the Pinedale Wrestling team competed at the Don Runner Invitational in Pavillion, Wyoming. Eighteen teams were in attendance and Pinedale finished in 8th place with 120 points. Nineteen athletes competed in the two day tournament. We are still missing about six wrestlers due to illness and eligibility. Hopefully we can all get healthy soon and have the entire team competing again. Pinedale had a good showing with 8 of 19 wrestlers finishing in the top 6 of brackets consisting of around 20 competitors. Corban Woolstenhulme (138)  and Kolby Carson (220) both finished in 6th place, Colt Ramsey (132) finished in 5th place, Keegan Gehlhausen (106), Ian Grover (138), and Carson Cantu (285) all finished in 3rd place ...

  • Pinedale Wrestling The Pinedale Wrestling team competed at the Shoshoni Duals last weekend, January 6th. Pinedale had 18 athletes compete and participated in 5 team duals. We struggled to score points as a team because we were missing 7 athletes due to sickness and eligibility which caused us to forfeit 4 weight classes each dual for a total of 24 points. That means we basically entered each dual already down by 24 points. Pinedale won 2-5 duals, losing two of them by 3 points. It is frustrating to give up so many points in a dual because we did not have a full squad, but at the same time our athletes were there to get mat experience, which they did. Individually ...

  • Pinedale Wranglers Host Successful Pre-Season Tournament This past weekend the Pinedale boys’ basketball team hosted a home tournament and competed well. Pinedale began the weekend with their only loss, a close, hard fought game against Big Piney. Following that game, the boys were able to come out with a win against Farson, Cokeville, and Little Snake River. Coach Eric Oram noted that this weekend was a very good learning experience for the team, and that the team is realizing that small things can make a big difference. He explained that the team grew and got better offensively as the weekend went on, as well as played like more of a team. Coach Oram was especially happy with the Cokeville game, adding that the team did well ...
