Saint Walter Catholic School
helps all students reach their maximum potential. A Reading/Math
program funded through ESSA Title l is available to eligible students living in
the Chicago Public School District.
The learning lab teacher will:
- Meet
with the parents of Title I students and provide ideas and materials that can
be used at home to enhance learning.
- Consult
with classroom teachers about the instruction and needs of the students and
keep written documentation of the communication.
- Collaborate
closely with program supervisors and the school principal to ensure that instruction is based on sound research and best practices.
- Administer
tests and review/analyze data.
- Develop lesson plans and work with students in small-groups to assist them in reaching their personalized goals in reading, language, and math.
- Actively, successfully, and productively engage students in learning relevant academic content.
My name is Sr. Susan Wade
and I am the Title l Learning Lab teacher.
This school year is my ninth consecutive year as the Title l Teacher at
St. Walter Catholic School. I am a devoted
educator who has thirty-six years of teaching experience. I firmly believe in the Title l Program and
what it has to offer to all of the students enrolled in the program.
