Chromebooks at the Middle School

The 2015-16 school year is the first year that every Franklin Middle School student, grades 7 and 8, will receive a brand new Google Chromebook.  A chromebook is a device meant for primarily working with Internet based resources that also allows the user to work "offline" on a variety of tasks.  It is fast and light making it easy to use and carry around.  It has a battery life of about 8 hours and connects with Google's suite of applications, like Google Docs and Drive, which are used by students and staff members at Franklin Middle School.

Each Middle School student will have a chromebook as his or her primary computing device for use throughout the school day and to take home.  Below you will find  parental tips for at home use, information on how to care for the chromebook along with some instructional video links for parents, teachers and students.
