After School Clubs

Students are encouraged to join any of the after school clubs that meet from 2:45 - 4:40 PM unless otherwise noted.

Art Club

Drawing / Painting / Sculpture / Print Making

Circle of Friends

A chance to meet new friends! Meets monthly for an activity.

Competitive Cheerleading

Practices are held on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from November to February.
An elite group of about 12 girls who work on a routine with high level stunts and take that routine to competitions in the area. The girls must audition for a position on the team.
Sometimes there is cost involved with parts of the costume/uniform.

Creative Expressions

Writing in groups and individually.  We will try a variety of styles of writing.

Crochet Club

Meets most Mondays after school.  The club will crochet items which will then be donated to local shelters.

Environmental Club

This club is in charge of the school's recycling program and helps maintain the school property encouraging conservation.

This club provides opportunities for students to take part in cooking and sewing, while engaged in projects that will prepare them for the working world.
Meeting every 4-6 weeks from September to April.

Mock Trial

"Do you enjoy watching T.V. shows like Law & Order? Does the law or being a lawyer interest you? Do you enjoy role playing, acting in front of others, or creating your own characters? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the PVJH Mock Trial Club needs you! Our first meeting will be Thursday, March 1st at 3:10 in Room 49. Anyone is welcome! Students should listen to announcements for meeting times.
Newspaper Club publishes the online paper, The Spartan Update, at the end of every month.

This club will meet Monday and Wednesday from October to December.  The team will create a project and take part in a competition.

Student Council

Members are elected by the students. 
The Student Council will organize such activities as the Student Hunger Drive and Shoes that Fit.

Yearbook

October-March
Meets every other Tuesday
Group members will create pages- deciding colors, fonts and backgrounds.
They will also take a variety of pictures at various school events.
If a student is unable to come after school because of other activities, he or she may work on the yearbook during study hall time.
Yearbook comes out at the end of the year.
