The Reflections program is designed to enhance a quality arts education. This year’s theme is “Believe, Dream, Inspire”. Students are encouraged to create and submit original works in the following art categories (links to rules below):
Each student may submit up to four entries in each category.
Local winners in each category go on to compete at the state level. State winners are then considered for National PTA Reflections awards!
All students are responsible for reading and understanding both the General Contest Rules and Category Rules that apply to their artwork.
NEW! A Special Artist Division has been created for students with special needs or requiring accommodation. Please refer to the Special Artist Rules for more information.
Students’ entries will be accepted
Wednesday, October 9, 2013 and Thursday, October 10, 2013
in the main office. Entries can not be accepted unless they conform to the category guidelines (size, format, etc.) outlined in the rules and are accompanied by a signed entry form.
Open House and Awards Ceremony
All submitted artwork will be displayed during an awards recognition ceremony on
Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm in the high school cafeteria.
2015-2016 Theme Search Contest
National PTA Reflections sponsors a student-focused Theme Search Contest annually to determine a theme for an upcoming year. The winner will be selected in January 2014 and will receive $100 from National PTA and recognition at the 118th Annual PTA Convention.
Please refer to the Theme Search Entry Form for specific information and a list of previous years' themes. Entries can be submitted in your school’s office. Elementary students can also turn in entries to their teachers. All entries must be received by October 10, 2013.
