Applying for Financial Aid

To complete the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):
www.fafsa.ed.gov
    The Academy's school code is G26001.  You will first need a PIN (www.pin.ed.gov).

If you intend on taking Federal Financial Aid you will need to complete an Entrance Interview and a Master Promissory Note through the government. https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action

You may apply for the Federal Stafford loans (Unsubsidized loans) & Graduate Plus Loans.


Post 9/11 GI Bill

The New York Academy of Art is a VA approved institution.  Eligible military veterans can learn more at the GI Bill website.   

To calculate a student's potential non-Yellow Ribbon, Post-9/11 GI benefits, which can be transferred to a veteran's dependent through a transfer of benefits application made to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, please visit the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America website or the VA's Chapter 33 Benefit Calculator.

Questions about veterans' benefits may be directed either to the nearest VA regional benefits office or the Office of Financial Aid.
