Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Shannon's Bio

Welcome to EPiC Elementary!  My name is Kimberly Dawn Shannon and I am so excited to continue with this "EPiC" journey!

I graduated from Fort Osage High School and then completed my teaching degree at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.  Since then, I have completed my masters degree from Graceland University and I am currently working to complete my specialist degree from Northwest Missouri State University.

This year is my 12th year in education.  I have taught kindergarten and first grade.  I worked as a first grade teacher at Lillian Schumacher from 2012-2014.  I love teaching because I get to form meaningful relationships with students while helping students learn to be better readers, writers, mathematicians, and thinkers!

Mrs. Konrad's Bio

Welcome to EPiC Elementary and third grade! My name is Kellie Konrad and I am thrilled to be entering our third year at EPiC!

In 2000, I received my teaching degree from Graceland University in Lamoni, IA.  A few years later I completed my masters degree from Baker University.

This year marks my 16th year in education.  Most of my years have been spent as a third grade teacher, although I did step out of the classroom for four years to serve as an instructional coach/instructional technology coach for the Excelsior Springs School District.

On a more personal note, I have been married for 16 years.  My husband, Aaron, is an elementary reading teacher in Lathrop, MO.  We have two children who both attend EPiC. Jackson will be in fifth grade and Kate will be in third grade.
