Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Hoffmann
This is going to be a great school year! I am starting my 4th year as a resource teacher at Alexander Doniphan and my 11th year of teaching.  Before teaching at Doniphan, I taught for 7 years at a private school, St. Gabriel's, in grades 4, 5 and middle school.  I loved teaching in the general education classroom, but have always had a passion for special education.

I have a Bachelor's degrees from North West Missouri State University in Cross Categorical Special Education and Elementary Education.  I also have a Master's degree from Webster University in Elementary Education.

My husband and I have two daughters ages 7 and 4.  We enjoy playing at the park and spending time outside.  When I am not teaching and spending time with my family, I enjoy baking cupcakes and making quilts.

Mrs. Mace
I'm excited to be returning to Alexander Doniphan this year! This will be my 17th year of teaching. I’ve taught students at all elementary grade levels K-5.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from William Jewell College.  I attended Webster University to earn my Master's degree. I’ve always believed that a quality education is the key to future success.  I’m honored that I get to spend each day doing a job that brings such happiness to my own life.

My husband and I have 1 dog, Jordy, and 2 cats, Milo and Katy.  Our fur babies bring us lots of joy while keeping us on our toes. Other than spending time with the fur babies, I also enjoy reading, gardening and taking long walks to get my exercise (at least 4 miles 4-5 days a week!).

Mrs. Morris

I'm excited to start my first year as a special education teacher! Before coming to Alexander Doniphan, I taught 4 years of 2nd grade at Manor Hill, 3 years of 1st grade at Warren Hills, and 4 years of Kindergarten in Columbia and Jefferson City.

I attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in special reading programs. I am passionate about helping students build a love of learning and realize the potential within themselves.

My husband and I have two daughters who keep us on our toes! In my free time I love to read and spend time outside with my girls.
