Digital Citizenship

We Believe:

  • Students learn about leading a productive and responsible digital life in relevant ways because of technology access.
  • Students are most prepared for success in our digital world when they learn to use technology appropriately, creatively, and collaboratively.
  • Students should interact with respect in both online and face-to-face environments.
  • Students are empowered when they understand the power of their digital footprint.

2015-2016 LPS District Digital Citizenship Training

All Grades K-5 students will be engaging in Digital Citizenship instruction aligned to ISTE Standards for Students.

ISTE Standards for Students

Grade level lessons can be found HERE.

Please Note: During the 2015-2016 school year, our digital citizenship process will be formally reviewed through the Liberty Public Schools Curriculum Department.

The Liberty Public School District recommendation for pacing will be one lesson per week with supplementary conversations throughout the week. At the completion of these learning modules, buildings will be submitting applications to Common Sense media to become Certified Schools.
