Women’s Retreat

At the request of a few of those who attended last year, we’re exploring the possibility of another 24-Hour Women’s Retreat for the Friday/Saturday leading into Labor Day Weekend, September 1st & 2nd.

Dayspring in Germantown, MD is available, and it’s lovely:

Karen Donegan Salter could be your Retreat Leader; she’s a friend & colleague and a FANTASTIC Retreat Leader.  Cost per person would run around $125 per person.  Please    contact Mary Beth if you’re interested.

Second Story

Widening the Circle on Pastoral Care and  Community Comfort

Pray every day?  Have you been on the receiving end of a kindness in a difficult time?  Looking for one low-commitment way to practice your faith?  Perhaps you can be a part of a new effort to “widen the circle” in our Pastoral Care      efforts.

Needed are Prayer Buddies, Dinner-Makers, Lay Eucharistic Visitors and people who can provide Funeral Hospitality.   As Vestry Commissioner for Pastoral Care, Susan Gardiner is taking a look at how we can care for and comfort each other in times of need.  Contact Susan or Mary Beth  for more information.

Share Garden

Come and help our garden grow! Our plants have begun sprouting! And we need helpers to make sure things continue to blossom and bear great fruit for SHARE this season. Please sign up to help out!

Would you like a delicious pie for a  summer treat?  Pat Smith will prepare a tasty pie of your choosing (think lemon meringue, key lime, fresh peach, rhubarb, red raspberry or blackberry, ice cream, French silk, chocolate custard … and more) for $25 per pie.  Pat   donates her time and ingredients; all proceeds go to ECW in reach/outreach.  Redeem your pie certificate or just place an order.  Call/text Pat on 703-338-0974 or email her at
