Our Ministries

When we end our services each Sunday, a member of the clergy sometimes dismisses us with the words:  "Our worship has ended. Now the Service begins!"  This is how we think about our ministries at St. Thomas.  Click on the links below to explore our Service Ministries:

St. Thomas has a rich history of outreach and tradition of seeking opportunities for members of all ages within our parish community to help others in need:
  • Youth Mission Trip
  • Adult Mission Trip
  • Alternative House
  • Iliff Nursing Home
  • SHARE, McLean
  • Samaritan Ministry
  • Falls Church/McLean Children's Center
  • FACETS Hypothermia Program
  • Crosslink International
...is the lifeblood of the community.  It informs us of what others are doing, presents opportunities for ministry, and allows us to share the Good News.

Gathering in groups large or small allows us to form and deepen our relationships with one another.  Explore the many fellowship opportunities at St. Thomas.
Our Care for one another is a central anchor of the community.  This care begins with the simple act of keeping in touch on Sunday mornings and all our gatherings, but it comes to special expression in the variety of groups who focus on particular aspects of care.

Hospitality isn't simply something that we do or share.  It's who we are.  We are a place where everyone knows your name, and where we all will seek you out if we do not.

At St. Thomas' we see stewardship as a family concept of sharing our blessings and supporting our church.  We use the term stewardship in conjunction with our gifts to the church because of all the blessings we have are not ours; they are entrusted to us to care for and to use in furtherance of God's plans for us until we pass them on to future generations.
