Welcome to Term 4 -2018

Welcome to the last school term of 2018! This will be (for our Year 8 learners) their last term of Primary Schooling and their last year of being a student at St Thomas's School.

Horrible Histories is our topic and we hope to provide another fun filled, adventurous and exciting round of learning activities to extend, consolidate and challenge our students.

Parents and Caregivers are welcome at any time to be part of the learning for the term and we encourage family to be actively involved in both Home Learning tasks and those completed at school.

ST THOMAS'S SCHOOL VALUE

The St Thomas's Value we are focusing on this term is 'Excellence'.  With the end-of-year award ceremony approaching, students will be working hard to achieve to the greatest of their potential.

KEY COMPETENCY

The Key Competency students will be working towards is Managing Self. This competency is all about students being self motivated and viewing themselves as capable learners. It is instrumental in students being able to successfully self assess. They manage themselves and set high standards, develop strategies for meeting challenges and act independently.

LEARNER DISPOSITION

The student disposition for this term is Resilience. This disposition enables students to stand strong during challenges and not give up but to stay positive and bounce back with a strong network of support.
