St. Rose RE News



Religious Education classes began last Sunday! Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9:15 -10:45AM for children three years of age by August 1st; up through high school (preschool children get dismissed from class at 10:30AM). **If your child does not attend a Catholic school, they should be enrolled in the RE program. RE Parent Meeting- This Sunday, Sept. 22nd, there will be a short parent meeting at 9:30AM in the PLC to go over our Religious Education program. Parents; please plan to attend. We are looking forward to a great school year!


Religious Education Support Team (REST) – Our first REST Team meeting will take place after the parent meeting this Sunday, Sept. 22nd around 10AM in the PLC. The REST Team is our parent group that helps with the many RE Programs and activities we have throughout the year. Any RE parent or grandparent can join in at any time. It is a great way to meet new friends and help out the RE Program. Please join the fun!


First Communion Parent Meeting- There will be a First Communion Parent Meeting in church next Sunday, Sept. 29th at 9:30AM. This is for all Religious Education and School parents who have children in the second grade and who will be preparing for their First Holy Communion this year. Questions? Missionary Childhood Walk- On Sunday, Oct. 6th, Respect Life Sunday, the REST Team will sponsor our annual MCA Walk around the Camelot subdivision, which St. Rose is part of. This year our school students and their families are encouraged to join the fun! Students will receive pledge forms this week to ask for donations and then walk the extra mile for kids in need at 9:30AM on Sunday, Oct. 6th. Please support our student’s efforts to help poor children in need. Every penny helps! There will be prizes for the class that makes the best banner, the class with the most class spirit on the walk and the class that donates the most money per student. A pancake breakfast will be hosted by the high school RE class that morning to also benefit MCA. Please mark your calendars and spend the morning with your St. Rose family!
