2018-2019 Update

At the state tournament, Hank Carey captured 5th place at 170.  Caiden Rodgers finished 1-2.  

The team finished in 7th place out of 43 teams at the Alliance Division 2 district.  Two Rockets will head to state tournament.  Hank Carey was Streetsboro's first district champion in a number of years and Caiden Rodgers finished 4th to head to state.  Chris Anderson finished 5th to be a state alternate.

The team finished in 4th place at sectionals with 7 district qualifiers in Sean Neff, Sam Miller, Tyler Bodovetz, Caiden Rodgers, Chris Anderson, Hank Carey, and Mike Paden.  


After a 2-5 PTC Metro Dual Season the Rockets dominated the Metro field at the PTC tournament.  Streetsboro finished second overall behind only County division champion Rootstown.  Sean Neff, Chris Anderson, and Hank Carey all won their weight classes and became two time PTC Champions.  Caiden Rodgers and Ashton Smith finished as runners up.  Brayden Malloy and Sam Miller were 4th place and Mason Dundon and Tyler Bodovetz were 6th place.  With the PTC Metro Tournament title, Streetsboro finished just behind Norton and Ravenna for the overall division title.


 
Seniors Hank Carey, Chris Anderson, and Caiden Rodgers reached 100 wins.

The team finished in 8th at the Bill Dies Memorial (3rd among Division 2 teams).  Hank Carey was tournament champion.  Sean Neff was 3rd, Caiden Rodgers was 5th, and Chris Anderson was 4th.  

The team finished in 15th at the very tough North Canton Holiday Tournament behind 2nd placer Hank Carey, 3rd placer Chris Anderson, and 5th placer Caiden Rodgers.



The 2017-2018 team went 9-5 on the season with a 4-3 dual meet record in the PTC Metro.  Dom Carone became a 3 time PTC Champion and Chris Anderson won his first PTC championship as a junior.  Dom Carone, Tyler Bodovetz, Chris Anderson, and Caiden Rodgers were district qualifiers while Tyler Dick and Sam Miller were alternates.  Dom Carone was voted the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the PTC Metro and became just the 4th Streetsboro wrestler to finish his career as a 3 time OHSAA state placer by finishing 4th in the state.  Additionally, Sean Neff, Chris Anderson, and Hank Carey were first team All PTC selections for their weights while Caiden Rodgers made the second team.  Chris Anderson was voted outstanding wrestler at the annual Hudson tournament as the team finished in 3rd place for their highest finish in years.  Hank Carey was voted outstanding wrestler at Clear Fork tournament where the team finished in second place.  Dom Carone will continue his wrestling career in college as he will attend the United States Military Academy at West Point.

The 2016-2017 team went 14-8 and finished 4th in the PTC Metro.  Sean Neff and Dom Carone were PTC Champions.  7 wrestlers qualified for the district tournament with Dom Carone and Hank Carey making it to Columbus as state qualifiers.  Dom Carone became the first Rocket to reach the state finals since 2004 and took second at the state tournament.
