Sam Liberto
Managing Partner

Sam has devoted two decades to developing and implementing business growth strategy. From start-ups to Fortune 50 corporations, he has engineered over a dozen new business ventures. Behind each success was the same methodology used by Strategic Innovations today, which applies a systematic, data-driven approach to entrepreneurship.

Before Strategic Innovations, Sam launched Pittsburgh-based ThoughtDrivers, which provided numerous award-winning software and services to the commercial trucking market. The company also played an important role in diversifying the portfolio of its parent, Pitt Ohio Express, where Sam was charged with this imperative as Vice President of New Business Development.

Sam has also held a number of lead positions in finance, marketing and business management at The Dow Chemical Company. Consistently, his work was customer-centric and market-driven. Sam’s key responsibilities included market research, portfolio management, product validation, strategy development and global business leadership. Throughout his career, Sam has served the chemicals, automotive, transportation, paper, steel, consumer products, energy and other specialty markets. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
