Meet the Teacher:

This is my thirty-third year of teaching, of which thirty-two of those years have been at St. Pius X Catholic School.  During my teaching career, I have taught all ages from PK-3 through college-aged students.  I have also had the opportunity to give in-services to teachers in the field of early childhood and to help write the curriculum for the Diocesan Early Childhood Program.  I received my B.A. in Education from Marshall University in West Virginia; and, my Masters in Early Childhood from A&M Kingsville.
I am not only blessed to teach in such a loving, Christ-filled environment; but, I am blessed in my family.  I have three biological children and many children that I call mine.  I also have one sweet grandchild that I enjoy watching grow. All of my children have attended St. Pius X Catholic School from PK3 through 6th Grade and were given an outstanding foundation in their academics and faith.
I know that St. Pius X Catholic School offers an outstanding Early Childhood Program.  The program is developmentally appropriate, in that, it looks at each child as an individual and takes that child as far as he/she can go in a given year.  It is a center-based, play- oriented, differentiated program where children thrive. I love watching our little ones grow in their academic knowledge and their love of Jesus.  In this environment, surrounded by loving teachers sharing their love for God, our children become not only aware of Jesus, but try to follow His teachings by example and deed.
Thank you for the allowing me the honor of teaching your child.  It is an absolute pleasure to watch them grown in their love of God and their academic objectives.  I look forward to this year with your child.

Meet the Teacher-Aide:

This is my fourth year at St. Pius. I had worked with children in the orthodontic field for over 10 years and after I became a mom I chose to stay home to raise my girls.   Once my children were old enough to start school we  chose St. Pius.  A Catholic education was what we wanted to provide for them. Every morning  I would drop off my daughter at school  and I saw the great education that she was given along with introducing Christ in to their lives.    So,  I told myself I WANT to be a part of this school.  I signed up for room mom and volunteered as much as I could. When the position arose for  the teacher's aid in K4 I immediately inquired more and prayed that I would finally have the chance to be a permanent part of this St. Pius family.  These children have taught me so much along my journey of teaching them.  I take great pride in the opportunity to teach your children all they need from simple things like grasping a pencil to teaching them gospel values and knowing God always loves them. Im excited for this school year and all the wonderful adventures along the way.
