To register your child as a student in St. Philip School for the 2017-2018 school year, please print and complete the below form and return it to the school office.

PARENT GROUPS EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS ARE SEARCHING FOR INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE: As the school year comes to an end, our parent groups (BOTCE, PTC and Boosters) will be soliciting nominations for positions on their executive boards.  Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have concerning these positions.  Please consider serving the school and students in this position of leadership. SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS:  Have you ever considered working with children?  Would you consider this if you knew that you would be paid for the day?  I am talking 1-2 days at a time, in most cases, and the day is already planned.  St. Philip School is in need of substitute teachers to build our call list.  You must be VIRTUS trained and in compliance with the diocesan safe environment regulations.  If you are interested, please call me at 441-3423 ext. 4 or email me at for more information.

VIRTUS-SAFE ENVIRONMENT:     To volunteer at St. Philip Parish in any way that involves children, any adult must be in compliance with VIRTUS.  You must attend a VIRTUS training session, read and sign a Policies and Procedures statement, and complete a background check application.  This process (class attendance and background check) will take a month or more to complete.  Register at, at the Child and Youth Protection site or find another class to attend.  Classes are available around the diocese throughout the year.  Click on the dates and times of training.  Follow the directions at that point.  After attending the 3-hour training, you will be assigned monthly bulletins.  Bulletins are placed on the accounts on the first Sunday of the month, after 6:00 PM.  To stay in compliance, process each bulletin within 30 days.  If you do not complete your bulletin in 30 days, you will be suspended and will need to wait for the quarterly suspension release.  

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: St. Philip School is always in need of volunteers.  Remember, you must be VIRTUS trained and in compliance with all Diocesan Safe Environment guidelines.  We need your help in these areas: library, school office, cafeteria helper (contact Mrs. Steelman), teacher’s aides: help out with weekly skills assessment, computer class, and gym class.  Mrs. Steelman needs volunteers immediately in the cafeteria. SCHOOL SUPPORT: Many easy ways to support the school would be to collect Box-tops, Labels for Education, Sunny D labels, Tyson Food product labels, County Market receipts, and recycle aluminum cans.  All of these items will benefit St. Philip School.  Send your labels/tabs/receipts into the office and we will turn them into money.  Bonus Box-tops are on many products and offered by stores like Meijers as part of Back-to-School. Look for information at your local grocery store.  ALL BOX-TOPS HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE, including Bonus Box-Tops.  Please trim your Box-tops and labels.  We must pay postage to mail these items into the company. Grocery receipts, paper and aluminum will be processed in bulk and cashed in at the specific facility throughout the school year.

9/13 Parent/Teacher Club (PTC) meeting  7:00 in the school cafeteria

9/19 St. Philip Boosters Club meeting 7:30 pm in the parish center

9/24 Sacraments Information meeting 10:00 in school cafeteria for Confirmation, First Reconciliation, and First Communion

9/29 Kona Ice Truck to visit the school 2:15; treats will be priced at $3, $4, and $5

10/2 Picture Day Students may be out of uniform (switch to long pants)

10/9-13 Fall Break- no school
