A Peek at Our Week

I can’t believe this is the final paws for this school year. The year as our days has just flown by! I'm not ready to say good bye to this group. They are an awesome bunch of smart cookies!!! It is always amazing to see the growth and change that happens in kindergarten. I have loved every minute I’ve been blessed to spend with these kids. They make my job so much fun! Kindergarten really is the happiest place on earth.

In Jesus time, we are learned about Paul being shipwreck. While Paul was a prisoner on a ship, he assured everyone that although the storm would destroy their ship, God's plan was that they would all survive. God our deliverer, promises to be with us during difficult times.

We are deep in the rain forest this week learning about this unique ecosystem. The unique animals, plant,s and how important the rain forest is in providing air, food, and medicines for us. The kids are create unique lap books and really love the "pop up" effect of the additions.

In math we are working on reviewing measuring and addition facts.

Please make sure your child has his or her back pack everyday as we will be sending home items throughout the week.

If you are interested in a Summer Skills Book for your child to work through over the summer, please email me and let me know. I will send them home next week, but I need to know by Tuesday that you would like to have one.

Next school year, St. Peter will again participate in the South Korean Exchange Student Program. Our school will host students from South Korea for three weeks in the winter. During the summer break, please prayerfully consider opening your home to one or more students next year! By hosting, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about South Korea and help your own children become more culturally knowledgeable. Requirements for hosting include taking your South Korean student to church each week, feeding them two meals a day (school lunches are provided), giving them a bed to sleep in (they don’t need their own room), and providing for their general safety and welfare, much like you do your own child! There is a small stipend available for host families. If you cannot host, but would like to be involved with the program, we have a place for you! If you would like more information as you consider hosting/helping or are ready to sign up, please contact Ms. Wilke at
