Peek at our week/Important Information:
The weather is changing. Please remember to update change of clothes.
The December Snack/Share: Please check the Sharing calendar to see when your child has share day. On that day your child can bring 1 item to show the class. They also may bring snack for the whole class (24 Children). The children love sharing and this is a way to help the school cut down on food costs. This program is optional and if you choose not to send anything we will provide a snack. The Sharing/Snack calendar will be posted in class as well as at the bottom of this newsletter.
Preschool Chapel: December 19th Preschool will present the lesson in Chapel for the whole school. Parents are welcome to join us in the chapel to see their children perform a Christmas Story. We do ask that the parents sit in the back rows and we will allow for pictures after the service. Please bring students to the chapel to sign in on this day. Make sure you are on time because we need time to dress the students in costume.
Here's what we learned this week:
Monthly Theme: Christmas
Sight Word: None
Weekly Bible Story: Our bible story this week was called Jesus as a Young Boy. We read and talked about how Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, traveled to Jerusalem, to celebrate Passover. They went to the temple church to listen to the teacher's teach God's word. When the celebration was over, Mary and Joseph started for home. They didn't realize that Jesus was still in the temple, listening to God's word. When they realized that Jesus wasn't with them, they ran through the busy town and found Him, in the church talking with the teachers.
Our weekly Bible verse: God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
School wide verse: Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7
Coming up next week:
Bible Story: Jairus's Daughter Lives!
