 Respond Now exists to provide immediate relief for residents of Chicago's south suburbs who are in need, while maintaining their dignity and affording respect.They help people through their temporary emergencies with financial assistance,provide food to families and individuals in need and provide sound referrals and counseling for other needed services. 
South Suburban PADS is an inter-faith program providing shelter and supportive services to homeless persons. Compassion, hospitality and dignity are key characteristics of the PADS program.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian Housing Ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of  conscience and action. To accomplish these goals, we invite people of all backgrounds, races and  religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.  

 "South Suburban CROP Walk"-Community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world.
"Blankets+" is a special mission opportunity for all ages.  Some 8,000 congregations
and groups across the U.S.   hold CWS Blankets+ events, providing funds to help people in need around the world including the U.S.


The Peder Hedberg Foundation exists to fund programs that support children and families through the ministries of not-for-profit Christian Camps and Conference Centers, not-for profit programs working with children with disabilities, and not-for-profit organizations that advance elementary education.

Jones Community Center
 Located in Chicago Heights, the Center has many activities and programs for all age groups and continues to express high principles and provide practical services to strengthen family ties, to emphasize the worth of all persons and to answer a community need.


OGHS is one of the five special mission offerings of the United Church of Christ. Working in more than 80 countries, the offering provides hope to people in more than eighty countries. The UCC works with  international partners, and together we provide support to health, education, refugee, agricultural and emergency relief initiatives.
