Research for the benefit of SMEs

The STOREPET project is funded within the Seventh Framework Programme, in the Capacities, Research for the benefits of SMEs sub-programme.

The aim of this FP/ programme is to strengthen the 'innovation capacity' of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe and their contribution to the development of new technology based products and markets. The programme will help them outsource research, increase their research efforts, extend their networks, better exploit research results and acquire technological know-how, bridging the gap between research and innovation.

In this specific programme, the RTD performers invoice their services to SMEs and/or SME Associations against giving up (in part or fully) the IPR to the results of their research and the project. SMEs, SME Associations and "Other participants and end users" contribute with own resources to the project.

Project management

StorePET project will be successfully delivered thanks to a robust management structure which head persons and procedures have been established by a joint agreement between the Consortium partners.

The overall management of StorePET project is lead from the Project Board set up by a representative from each partner of the Consortium and managed by a project coordinator. This project board is split by two Sub- Committees in such a way that responsibilities are strategically shared, and therefore, enhancing and making procedures more dynamical. Both sub-committees, which rely on their own coordinators, are: Technical Committee and Exploitation Committee. Every workpackage is overseen by a workpackage leader who is in charge of the majority of work in it.
