Welcome!

The ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Committee welcomes you to a 2-day Kinematics Summer School being held immediately preceding the ASME IDETC 2014 conference, August 15-16, on the campus of the University at Buffalo. This summer school will bring together experts from the community to provide two full days of instruction and practical application on topics such as screw theory, quaternions and Clifford algebras, homotopy, continuation methods and algebraic geometry. Please see the program here.

Objective

To provide interested PhD students and faculty access to the fundamentals of these topics, to enable easier entry into the associated research domains and to encourage proliferation of graduate courses in these areas.

Acknowledgement

Funding for the summer school was provided by the Design Engineering Division of ASME through a special projects initiative.
