The English Learner (EL) Program in Stoneham assists with the English language development of a diverse group of students in grades K -12 from cultures all around the world. Their English proficiency ranges from newcomer to advanced. Stoneham welcomes the cultural richness and diversity that they bring to our school community. Stoneham uses the Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) model. This model of instruction for English language development combines both the mainstream classrooms as well as in small group sessions by certified ESL teachers.
