Welcome to Mrs. Hoerner's website!

Dear Parents and Students,

I hope our students told you that their El Toro lunches last Thursday were donated to the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. They gave someone else a gift while they were enjoying their own lunch at STM.

We will not have a vocabulary or religion test this week. We continue our preparations for Shadow Stations. Please note that students will need some "costumes" for the Shadow Stations - a flat twin sheet and a pillow case. Some will need a long sleeve "Under Armour" shirt too. Students should label a bag with their items. They may bring those items after spring break.

Please know that there have been some recent issues with students using their phones to text or use snapchat between classes. This has happened when a student is supposed to be getting a drink or going to the bathroom. All 7th and 8th graders met with the junior high teachers last week to discuss this problem and review some general rules of respect. I want you to know that the junior high teachers are keeping a stricter policy of not allowing the students to leave the classroom once she or he arrives. Students should use the bathroom between classes and get drinks then too. Of course, emergencies happen from time to time, but we are trying to minimize students leaving class.
