    Upcoming Dates for 4K:  

    Please remember to check the St. Mary website calendar for the most up to date school information.  There is also a Parents of St. Mary Hales Corners Facebook page that is kept very current as well.  

    • We will be going on a field trip to Scout Lake in Greendale on Wednesday, April 17. Please have your child bring some kind of BOOTS and bring a change of shoes.  The area where we could be hiking is a bit wet and muddy. 

    • We will be meeting with our 6th grade buddies on Thursday morning 8:00-9:00.  We will enjoy games, puzzles and hopefully some bubbles outside with them.  Praying the weather cooperates. 

    • Spring Break starts April 18th with an 11:30 early dismissal. Classes resume on April 29.
    SAVE THE DATE MOMS!!!!  MOM'S DAY IS MAY 10, 2019.  4K FULL DAY MOM'S DAY IS AT 1:30 IN THE ART ROOM. THIS IS A LOCATION CHANGE.  IN THE PAST IT HAD BEEN IN ROOM 312 BUT DUE TO MAPS TESTING THE ROOM IS NOT AVAILABLE..

    SAVE THE DATE DADS!!! DAD'S DAY IS MAY 23, 2019.  4K FULL DAY DAD'S DAY IS AT 1:30 IN ROOM 312.  

    More info on both special days will be coming. We will be singing special songs, sharing a gift with you and enjoying some simple snacks. I hope you can make it.

                    *I can identify the letters Aa- Yy.
                    *I can identify the sounds letter Aa-Yy makes. 
                    *I can write an upper and lowercase Aa - Yy.
                    *I can count up to 20 objects.
                    *I can find the numbers through 20.
                    *I can write the numbers through 20.
                    *I can order numbers through 20.
                    *I can make groups of 10 to show  100.
                    *I can count by 10's to 100.
                    *I am starting to count by 5's.
                    *I can sing the Days of the Week song. 
                    *I know that purple is the color of Lent.
                    *I know that Jesus died on the cross because he loved me.   
                    
                                               
     What's Happening this Week!


    Literacy:  We will review the letters A-Y and read lots of books about Easter.  We talked about how Easter can be about the Easter Bunny, but also about how Jesus dies on the cross because he loves us.  

    Fine Motor/Large Motor:  We will be making an Easter card poster for families. We will be practicing the large motor activities on the primary hallway doors.  

    Math:  We will practice the number 20.  How to count it, write it and represent it.  The kids will make a "poster" and have to cut out and arrange the numbers in order from 1-20. 

    Religion:  Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday (The Last Supper), Good 
    Friday,  Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday. 

    Science/Social Studies:   Wehr Nature Center is about animals and how the Earth changes in Spring time. 



      This year's theme is "Live as disciples of Christ."
    This month, we will focus on the virtue of Justice.

  • Help out.....

    Party Planners  - If you take the Safeguarding class and would like to help out the party planner note is going home in folders. 

    Halloween -  October 31, 1:00-2:15


    Christmas - December 21, 10:00 a.m. -11:15 a.m. (This is an 11:30 dismissal day)


    Valentine’s Day -  February 14, 1:00-2:15


    End of the Year Party -  June 5, time to be determined - last day of school.



    Safeguarding -Please consider taking the Safeguarding God's Children class so you can volunteer in the classroom, attend field trips, and help plan our holiday parties.  There are 3 components to finish the Safeguarding Program. (Live training, create an account/online component, background check) Please direct questions to the Safeguarding Coordinator in the parish office.  When the first 2 components have been completed please let me know.  Thanks for keeping our kids safe!!!
