"Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him."

I am excited for the 20167-2018 school year at St. Mary! I am ready to enjoy a productive school year. Through reading and writing, my students are challenged to gain a deeper understanding of topics, helping them grow as learners. My goal is for all my students to become life-long learners! I agree with Roald Dahl when he says, "I have a passion for teaching kids to become readers, to become comfortable with a book, not daunted. Books shouldn't be daunting, they should be funny, exciting, and wonderful; and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage."
