For our letter art project, the children will be making both kings & queens to decorate the hall!  At the easel the children will be painting castles with grey, purple, and blue paint.  In our block area and the lego area the children are encouraged to build castles and wow, they are doing a great job so far!

Eggcelent Easter

posted Mar 15, 2018, 1:35 PM by Carol Dougherty

Easter is two weeks away and the children will start our “Eggcelent Easter” theme along with learning all about letter Ee for the next two weeks.  Rice Bowls (mission banks) were sent home last week and are due back by march 23rd. Rest Towels can come back this week and we will resume our regular rest time.

Next week I will send home my April newsletter, author of the month, scholastic book order, and a Spring Break News Report.  This will be the last scholastic book order of the year. The spring break news report is a paper for you and your child to fill out over Easter break and bring back when we return the week of April 9th.  This is a fun way for your child to show and tell everyone all the fun things they did over break.

Here is a look at what we will be doing the next two weeks…

Monday

Today we will start an egg experiment.  We will place one egg in a cup of vinegar and one in a cup of water.  We will watch this week to see if there are any changes. By the end of the week the egg in the vinegar should be see through!  The vinegar should eat away at the shell, but still leave the lining so the egg is still in tact. It is always fun for the children to look straight through the egg and we will actually be able to bounce it by Friday without it cracking!
