Outline of Programme

Students integrate themselves into both the boarding and day school as well as play rugby on a specific programme. 

Academic- Individual Education Plan
6 Periods per day
5 Days per week
Students take courses at the College that are of interest to them.  Prior to starting academic goals are discussed and then a plan is tailored to the needs of the player.  There is a wide range of courses offered at St. Kevin’s College.  For more information please see the course outline booklet published in November of the previous academic year.
Boarding SchoolStudents are welcomed into the boarding school.  They live in the dorms with the other men.
Rugby- PlayingThe player will play for one of the Colleges teams.  Generally this will involve approximately 14 weeks of rugby (depending on whether their team makes the semi finals or finals)  The player will be coached by two of the Colleges appointed, specialist, coaches.  Generally there will be 2-3 trainings per week.
Rugby- Skill specific coachingThe player will be offered skill specific coaching in their position as and when needed.  This may involve outside coaching from one of the regions many coaches.
Rugby- Representative opportunitiesIf selected the player is eligible for representative honours within the region.  This includes playing in the Heartland Championship or the Under 23 Development team or underage teams
Rugby- Weights programmeA specific programme will be written for our international player’s specific to their position. (Note: gym membership fee not included in the programme fee)
