  • Media visits Google HQ
Mr Jones and a number of Media students visited Google HQ in London this week.
We are now interesting in developing creative content for a number of apps that can be used within school. We also have a number of Computer Science ideas to bring back into both Media lessons and Media Club.

Mr Jones also met Daniel Craig, James Bond 007 himself, and now has a new best friend!

  • High Praise from Google
“In four weeks, we visited seven schools in England, Wales and Scotland that are doing inspiring and creative things with education technology. We wanted to hear more about how Google for Education tools are helping them to transform their approach to teaching and learning, and we wanted to provide an opportunity for other educators nearby to hear and learn from them, too….”

Goodluck to everyone who is sitting the mock today, lets hope your hard work pays off!

Media Club
July 7 2015

*This Media Club is run by two Year 11 students as part of their Duke of Edinburgh.*

Our goal is to allow KS3 students at St Julian's to experience Media as a subject before choosing it as a GCSE option,
and for KS4 students to further develop skills outside of the classroom. We will also try to get the opportunity to allow you to work with organisations such as IrisPrize and Google.

It is open to all students in Years 7 - 10, providing that behaviour and attendance is at an acceptable standard.
The club will run every Thursday, 3pm - 4pm in J2.
Some of this time will be spent filming outside, a timetable will be posted on the Media Club page.

Our current focus is exam preperation for Yr 10 & Yr 11.
