General Information

So that we can best support your children while in school, please notify the school nurse at 215-822-9225, ext. 241 if your child develops a contagious illness that could impact the St. Jude school community. Examples include: Chicken Pox, Fifths disease, Impetigo, Strep Throat, etc.

Changes in your child’s health status impact your child’s school day. By communicating pertinent health information to the school nurse, we can better care for your child’s needs. Concussions, surgeries, fractures, sprains, emotional wellness issues, acute or chronic illnesses are some examples of concerns to share with the school nurse.

Please feel free to contact the school nurse by e-mail with any questions or concerns about your child's health at nurse@stjudeschool.com.

**Please note that a physician order is necessary for any medication given to your child. Also, if any treatment such as crutches, wheelchair use, or special medical treatment is needed during the school day, a physician order is required.

State Mandated Screenings

All school children in Pennsylvania participate in screenings provided by Certified School Nurses.  If your child has difficulty with the school screening a referral is sent home with your child. If you have any concerns or would like more information regarding your child’s screenings contact the school nurse.
