January Chronicle 2018.mp4

I want to take a m
oment to introduce myself and share with you how privileged I feel to be part of St. Joseph School, St. Joseph Parish and the Fort Atkinson Community.  My husband Jay and I are next door neighbors and live in the town of Richmond, just south of Whitewater.  Over the last 18 years, we have tended our small horse farm and continuously enjoy the daily tasks of caring for our horses, enjoying our two rescue labs, and sharing our surroundings with family and friends.  We are also so fortunate to utilize the John Muir mountain bike trails, the Horsemans’ Park for trail riding, and the miles of country road that invites us to take the road less traveled.

Jay is the Warehouse Manager at Dean Foods in Chemung (Harvard), IL.  He graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.  We both enjoy the outdoors, watching the Brewers, Badgers, and Packers during their consecutive seasons, and spend a lot of time with a large extended family in both the Milwaukee and Madison areas.

Professionally, after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, I began my teaching career at Sharon Community School in Sharon, WI.  I taught 7th and 8th grade students language arts, social studies and health.  After completing my Master’s from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, my Administrative license from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and administrative opportunities at Sharon Community School, I accepted the assistant Principal position at Central Middle School in Belvidere, IL.  I cherish each of these experiences and will continue to grow professionally and spiritually as the Principal of St. Joseph School.

I am honored to be able to serve the students, staff and the families of St. Joseph’s.  I am looking forward to a great 2017-2018 school year.
