About Your Teacher

Hello! 😊 I'm Ms. Radus.

I am a proud graduate of St. John's Prep, and I believe strongly in its mission to provide an outstanding Catholic education to the young people of New York City. In my 20+ years of teaching, I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy, Human Health & Disease, and Forensic Science. I'm fascinated by all aspects of science, so if you ask me any science question, I can guarantee we'll get a good discussion going.

I believe that authentic, hands-on learning is very important (while observing necessary health and safety practices), so I am committed to guiding you through science with laboratory and research assignments that will connect you with what you are learning. I believe that everyone should be literate in science, so we will focus on reading, writing, and communicating using the language of science.

I love to travel, and to learn about cultures and places that I've never seen before. Two of my favorite travel destinations are the Galapagos Islands, and Costa Rica. I love nature photography, so get ready to see some more of my vacation photos throughout the year!

I hope that we learn a lot about each other this year! Welcome to my class!
