The Technology curriculum is being redesigned to align with new 2016 national technology standards outlined by ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education). Technology is not only taught as a separate strand but is embedded into our curriculum. This will help students with researching, demonstrating creative thinking, constructing knowledge and collaborating on work. Students will then use digital tools and resources to present their understanding.

Classes are being revised from teaching basic computer skills that will be folded into the classroom curriculum and focusing more on current technology topics such as coding, media literacy, animation, app invention and video production.

Our students are at the center of everything we do. As educators, our foremost goal is to prepare them for their future. The ISTE Standards for Students describe the skills and knowledge they need to learn effectively and live productively in an increasingly global and digital society.
