Stigmabase is a Canadian not-for-profit technology initiative dedicated to informing and raising awareness on the damaging effects of social exclusion and stigma around the world. The marginalization of individuals or categories of individuals is a too common phenomenon. Millions of people are facing this problem around the world and many complex factors are involved.

Stigmabase lists every day of the week (52 weeks per year) hundreds of news about social exclusion and its causes throughout the world in 16 languages. The initiative hopes to be a vehicle for change and combat social exclusion throughout the world.

The Stigmabase initiative is part of a universal approach and rejects any nationalist and fundamentalist character. Social action believes in equality between the sexes, races, cultures, and equal opportunities for all.

Vancouveryouth is the City of Vancouver’s youth portal. It was created, and is maintained, by youth and staff in the Social Policy Division at the City of Vancouver. We’ve been online since 2003, digitally engaging Vancouver’s young residents in municipal decision-making and in their communities.

But, we’ve been working for the better inclusion of the voices of Vancouver youth for much longer… What do we do? Social Policy staff work to address social issues facing our city through: Information & Research Strategic & Systemic Advocacy Coordination, Collaboration & Civic Engagement Service Access & Quality Enhancement
