Ms. Fair's Bio
Hello! My name is Mrs. Faircloth (most students call me Ms. Fair) and I am excited to work with the middle school students in Health and Physical Education at St. Gregory Middle School. This is my 11th year in Tucson. My husband, Jay, and I moved from Georgia with our 3 year old daughter, J'lyn, and one on the way. Our other daughter, Cierra, was born here in Tucson. I graduated from the University of Georgia with my undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology in 1995, and my Masters in Education in 1997. Go Dawgs!
Prior to working at St. Gregory middle school, I worked three years at St. Michael's School here in Tucson. I taught K-5 and middle school health and physical education. I also acted as the Athletic Director at St. Michael's, coordinating the after-school athletics and representing St. Michael's in the T.I.A.L (Tucson Independent Athletic League). With two young girls and a demanding after-school game schedule, I opted to get back into the classroom and was hired at St. Gregory in 2008 to teach middle school science.
This is my 6th year at St. Gregory. In 2008 and 2009, I taught 7th grade life science, 6th grade earth science, 6th grade geography, Health/PE, and 9th grade biology. For the last three years, I acted as the Middle School Head here at St. Gregory Middle School. I loved working with the students, families, and faculty all these years. After some restructuring of the St. Gregory administration, I have stepped back into the classroom teaching middle school Health/PE classes, as well as working with the middle school athletics program. I am excited to be back in the classroom and teaching the students about health and helping them develop a life-long love of physical activity.
