My laboratory research has always revolved around developmental neurobiology, with an emphasis on cellular and molecular processes such as intracellular signaling and modulation of the cytoskeleton. I have made extensive use of genetic tools and have secondary interest in genetic control of development. In addition, I have strong scholarly interest in evolutionary biology, especially evolutionary developmental biology, or evo-devo.
