Description 
As the first core course in the Conservation Ecology Major, Conservation Biology requires students to apply concepts of ecology, biogeography, population genetics, economics, sociology, anthropology, and philosophy in developing conservation strategies. We also explore laboratory, and computer-based methods appropriate to the field of Conservation Biology; and, synthesize and present relevant information from the primary and secondary literature in the analysis of a specific conservation issue.
