MakerSpace STEAM Playground

Why should we use MakerSpaces?

How can we help students be more confident in their ability to solve problems?

The MakerSpace STEAM Playground will provide students a place to explore, discover, and create to solve problems.  Why use MakerSpace?

1.  Authentic Learning:  DIY projects add real-life aspects to help answer the question, "How will I use this in real-life?"  Students will solve real-world problems using innovative solutions.

2.  21st Century Skills:  MakerSpaces allow students to critically think, create, and communicate while collaborating to solve problems.  Students are able to work together to learn new skills and share expertise while developing and discovering solutions to a problem.

3.  STEAM:  Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math = STEAM.    We've added "Art" to STEM in order to solve problems more creatively.
